Back at Millikin: This is LAME!!!

Hey kids,
Being back at Millikin is a giant dick in the sky, crushing down on little angry cinnamon buns, and I want to go back to London NOW!!! My room is almost completely done and I will be posting pictures of the completed apt. soon. You know what that means... PARTIES AT MY CASA! Keep your eyes open for invites to the Warhol inspired Factory Night sometime in February. For this weekend, everyone has decided to celebrate on one night. Saturday should be eventful as long as the weather gets decent. I will be watching The Great Waltz at The Attic starting at 10:30 p.m. followed by the first SAE party of the semester which is a "Stoplight" party. Wear green because no one wants your company if you are taken! Also TKE is having a graffiti party again.... should be a slutty good time if I am drunk enough! Where are my London friends? Call me!

On the third day of December, I left the comfort of my friends and flat to journey into La Ville des Lumieres. I had tried to make Giuseppe come along for the adventure but the bastard would not budge. Therefore I was alone and had to make do with self taken pictures on a borrowed camera. I prepared myself for a lonely weekend without love in the capital of love, but instead I got scammed out of 300 euros and spit in love's face. Paris Je T'aime!









Well there you have it, the tourist traps of Paris. Oh but the excitement doesn't stop there, oh no, stay tuned for more posts from Paris featuring dead rock stars, poets, and a couple good looking people, not to mention my attempt to follow in the footsteps of Amelie which almost ended in the breaking of both my legs... Abientot!

Shadows on a River... I'm Wet

These guys hail from Millikin University (woot woot!) and are currently making waves in the Chicago area. I have the first album from these guys when they were called The Infinity Room and I just bought the new album last night. It is strikingly beautiful! Reviewers and bloggers compare them to Radiohead and Elliot Smith, but they don't imitate anyone in a way that crosses lines. The coolest part about this album is that they were able to create lusciously layered haunting music directly out of their apartment. One of the guys from Berry helped out this time which I think is slightly evident, but then again all artists grow and this is pure evidence of that. You can buy the new CD on iTunes. Please do!
